CRISTOBAL “CHRIS” PADRON
Cristobal “Chris” Padron, a dedicated candidate for Circuit Court Judge, traces his roots to hardworking Cuban immigrants who arrived in the 1960s. His maternal grandparents started anew, rebuilding their lives by selling ice cream and providing beauty services. Meanwhile, his paternal grandfather established a successful accounting business. Born in Cuba, Chris’s parents moved to the United States at a young age, with his father becoming an insurance agent. Tragically, Chris faced the challenges of adulthood prematurely when his father passed away at 45 due to a heart condition, leaving him to support his family and younger siblings.
In his personal life, Chris found love with his high school sweetheart, leading to a 21-year relationship and 17 years of marriage. Together, they are raising three boys, and Chris’s wife, a Colombian immigrant and dedicated elementary teacher, recently achieved a master’s degree in leadership, driven by her passion to improve the public school system. Chris himself is a proud product of the public school system, attending Kensington Elementary, Ruben Dario Middle School, Coral Park, and graduating from Braddock High School.
Chris’s journey continued as he earned a scholarship to Florida International University (FIU), where he showcased his musical talent by playing the saxophone. Graduating Cum Laude in 2005 with a degree in political science, he pursued his dream of becoming an attorney, attending FIU Law School while juggling a full-time job and family responsibilities. In 2010, he achieved his law degree and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2011, later gaining admission to the United States District Court Southern District of Florida. With 12 years of legal experience, Chris focuses on family law, cases involving dissolution of marriage, paternity actions, domestic violence matters, as well as simple and complex civil litigation and appeals. As a KidsSide Silver Member, Chris has always aspired to become a judge, aiming to contribute his expertise to the judicial system and make a positive impact on the community.
